Ms. Marvel Episode 4 Recap
The episode starts with Kamala and her mother on a flight to Karachi. Nakia is still not responding to her texts, indicating she’s still angry with her for hiding the truth from her. Kamala is thrilled to be reunited with her Nani, although there is visible tension between her Nani and her mother.
Upon reaching her ancestral home, she comes across a room full of paintings and family heirlooms and her Nani explains she drew all of what she could remember of the Partition, including a portrait of her mother, Aisha. She recounts the day of the Partition when she got separated from her father and a ‘trail of stars’ led her back to him on the train to Pakistan. She then tells Kamala that the train in their visions is the same and that the bangle is trying to tell her something and they must try to figure it out together.
The next day, while sightseeing with her cousins, Kamala separates from them and decides to visit the train station instead. Kamala enters a restricted section of the station and gets attacked by a masked individual who assumes she’s also a Clandestine. He takes her to the hidden headquarters of a secret organization called the Red Daggers.
Waleed explains that the Clandestines aim to lift the veil separating our world from theirs which would eventually cause their world to engulf ours.
