Gus And Co. Return To Netflix As DC’s Sweet Tooth Gets Renewed For S2

Sweet Tooth to return to Netflix for a second season as Netflix renews the DC comics show. This news comes just about two months after the first season debuted on the streaming service on June 4.

Based on the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire, the series takes place ten years after “The Great Crumble” wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrid babies born part human, part animal.

The series follows Gus, a young boy who’s part deer, as he journeys across what’s left of America with a wandering loner named Jepperd.

The second season will consist of eight one-hour-long episodes, similar to the first season.

Showrunner Jim Mickle said in a statement,

It’s been equally thrilling and heart-warming to experience how people around the world have been falling in love with our deer-boy. We couldn’t be more excited to continue our collaboration with Netflix and keep following Gus and his friends on their extraordinary journey.
