Tudum! That’s the sound of Netflix hosting its very first virtual global fan event on September 25.
The glorious three-hour affair will be available to stream on Youtube, Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook and has teased featuring 145 global stars from Netflix originals and acquired properties. Before we get into more details, here’s the trailer to get you excited:
Did you manage to catch all the names mentioned? Or, more importantly, did all your faves make the list? At first glance, we see Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence, Elliot Page, and many more taking part in the event.
As we’re about to enter into the last quarter of the year, Netflix is going all out with its content, including one new original movie every week, as earlier promised. Along with this, the event will feature first-looks and never seen before footage from many of our faves: The Witcher, Cobra Kai, Sex Education, Money Heist, Umbrella Academy, Brigderton, The Crown, and Stranger Things, to name a few.
Foreign releases like Agrretsuko, Finding Anamika, My Name, Soy Georgina, and more are much anticipated.
Netflix also promised a few pre-shows in niches like Anime, Korean and Indian content, which will be available on Netflix’s respective regional channels.
And wait… Selected fans will also be able to “co-stream” the event and react to it in real-time. All one has to do is sign up on Tudum’s official website. Of course, fans will need to have a Twitch channel ready. From the guidelines, it seems that follower count will also be taken into consideration during the selection process.
Netflix hosted its Geeked Week in June, which was ripe with updates and exclusives. Tudum will do well to take it up a notch.
