New Ant-Man 3 Image Shows Scott & Cassie Stuck in Quantum Realm

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is ready to kick off the MCU’s Phase 5 come February 2023. The film introduces Kang the Destroyer, the next Thanos-level threat of the MCU, and is almost exclusively set in the Quantum Realm, where Kang resides.

A new still from the threequel shows Scott and Cassie stuck in Kang’s territory, divided from the group, looking ominously at an unknown scene. The image doesn’t come as a surprise since viewers know the film will primarily take place in the Quantum Realm after Cassie’s invention sends them off to the boggling dimension.

What’s troubling is Cassie and Scott are separated from Hope, Hank, and Janet, the latter being the only one with the most knowledge about this upside-down dimension. Without Janet’s expertise, who knows what trouble the Langs will stumble across – maybe this is how Kang gets to Scott in the first place and strikes a deal to spring him from his “prison”

Film producer Stephen Broussard explains how Ant-Man 3 is the first film in the MCU to explore the dimension under ours in such a capacity.

It feels like a place you haven’t been to before in the MCU, full of people and characters and worlds and politics and history.

The producer confirmed they wanted the threequel to feel “big” and “central to the MCU,” which ignites a new hope for fans who hope Phase 5 will be a fresh and exciting start for the MCU after the mixed reaction Phase 4 got.

When Broussard opened up about Kang, the producer explained to fans that while Kang’s presence is quite “à la Thanos in the stories,” his approach is “different” from the Purple Titan in a way that “feels fresh” to us.

He is very powerful, very formidable, very strong, and will have, obviously, an ongoing presence, à la Thanos in the stories, going forward in ways that are different from Thanos and feel very fresh to us.
