New Junkie XL Soundtrack Released for ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’

This week, Zack Snyder took to Twitter to post the first track from his long-awaited motion picture. Junkie XL, the score’s composer, has named the track “The Crew at Warpower”. The track, which is 7 minutes long, can be streamed on several platforms. Snyder captioned the post, “Take a listen.”

With less than a month left until the Snyder Cut comes out, fans who have been waiting for it since 2017 will finally get a glimpse of the original Zack Snyder version. The teaser was released in November 2020, and the official trailer came out this past Sunday. Alongside HBO Max, the director has been teasing the audience with glimpses and peeks from the upcoming movie. Now, it seems that he has really dropped one of the biggest hammers of all.

Junkie XL, whose real name is Thomas Holkenborg, is a Dutch composer who has worked with Snyder for previous DCEU movies. The track, which features a heroic theme and the sound of beating drums, does a beautiful job of setting the upcoming movie’s tone. Its release has intensified the fans’ anticipation, and many have taken to social media to talk about their reactions.

Snyder, who walked away from the movie in 2017 due to a personal tragedy, was replaced by Joss Whedon, who brought it to completion. However, after fans were disappointed with Whedon’s theatrical cut, they campaigned for the Snyder Cut, Zack Snyder’s original vision for the movie, to be released.

Even though it seemed the campaign would fail, Warner Bros. ended up authorizing its release. The 4-hour film will finally be coming out on March 18.

Whedon’s Justice League, which featured a soundtrack from Danny Elfman, was remarkable in its own merits. But it will definitely be a treat to hear what Junkie has in store for us!
