Season 3 of The Mandalorian kicked off on March 1, 2023, with “The Apostate” returning us to Din Djarin’s story. we are reintroduced to the characters and plotlines the new season will explore. Episode 1 sets the stage up for the entire season, and Star Wars just released a new teaser, hinting at several key moments in the upcoming episodes.

We get a glimpse of Tatooine, a memorable starting point of many Star Wars projects, and Mandalore’s ruins, as announced by Bo-Katan. The short trailer also features a brief shot of Grogu manning the Naboo N-1 Starfighter and Din Djarin taking on some TIE fighters with his ship.

But I think the most exciting clip is that which teases the inclusion of the pirates, just as the season 3 premiere introduced them to us, with Pirate King Gorian Shard swearing vengeance upon The Mandalorian.

The teaser also highlights previously revealed facts about the new season, where Grogu’s powers are growing increasingly, and Din Djarin returns to Mandalore to redeem himself and get reinstated as a true Mandalorian.

But the trailer’s ominous note about him redeeming himself as a Mandalorian suggests that his quest to Mandalore, though dangerous, might not bear the result Pedro Pascal’s Din is hoping for.

About The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is an American space western TV series on Disney+, created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. The show aired its first episode on November 12, 2019, and is two seasons in with an upcoming Season 3.

The show follows the story of one of the Mandalorians from the famed Star Wars Universe, Din Djarin. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, he is hired to retrieve Grogu, known as “The Child,” from the Impreial forces, but ends up going on the run to protect him from Moff Gideon, a former Imperial Officer.

The show stars Pedro Pascal in the lead along with actors Carl Weathers, Gioncarlo Esposito, Gina Carano, Amid Abtahi and Katee Sackhoff.
