Nicole Kidman-Hugh Grant Star in New HBO Series The Undoing

Some very big names are coming together for HBO’s latest limited series The Undoing. Arriving on the cable channel next month, HBO has released a trailer and poster for the show starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.

The series, created by Emmy, Academy and Golden Globe-winning director Susanne Bier (The Night Manager) and the Emmy-winning creator of Big Little Lies, David E. Kelley.

The Undoing follows what happens when a couple’s world is turned upside down after a chain of terrible revelations.

HBO revealed more about the new drama in a press release. Starring Emmy and Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Nicole Kidman (HBO’s Big Little Lies) and Emmy nominee Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal), comes the six-part limited series The Undoing.

1. When is it Out?

The series is debuting on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

2. What’s it About?

The limited series follows Grace (Kidman) and Jonathan Fraser (Grant), who are living the only lives they ever wanted for themselves. Overnight, a chasm opens in their lives: a violent death followed by a chain of terrible revelations.

Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle her dream life in order to create another for her family.

3. Star Cast

The Undoing also stars Edgar Ramírez as Detective Joe Mendoza; Noah Jupe as Henry Fraser, Jonathan and Grace’s precocious and artistic 12-year-old son; Lily Rabe as Sylvia Steinetz; Noma Dumezweni as Haley Fitzgerald; Sofie Gråbøl as Catherine Stamper; Matilda De Angelis as Elena Alves; Ismael Cruz Córdova as Fernando Alves; and Donald Sutherland as Franklin Reinhardt, Grace’s father, a retired financier and loving grandfather who is tasked with protecting his family in the light of all the terrible events unfolding.
