Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Rumored to Get First Trailer Next Week

Obi-Wan Kenobi is less than three months away and there’s a high chance that the series might finally get its first trailer next week.

The Lucasfilm series will star a lot of big names, including Ewan McGregor’s return in the titular role. Yet Disney+ has been quite mum about it with an almost non-existent promotional strategy, except for the recent poster reveal.

Nonetheless, Obi-Wan Kenobi is still a highly anticipated project among Star Wars fans. The six-episode mini-series is set to premiere its first episode on May 25, so it’s about time the streamer started promoting it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Poster:

As more buzz and speculations about the series have constantly been growing in the last few weeks, MakingStarWars claimed on its YouTube channel that the official trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi will arrive on either Wednesday, March 9 or Thursday, March 10.

According to the site’s sources, it is being claimed that they saw evidence from the trailer that included shots of new costumes and such details that seemed too good to be fake. However, the video specifies that one should take this news as just a rumor.

A March 9 or March 10 trailer release gives Disney just enough time to release a fair amount of promotional content.

Set 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, fans will get to see Obi-Wan Kenobi in his time between the prequel and original trilogies.

As recent rumors have strongly suggested the return of Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, it’ll be interesting to see whether Lucasfilm confirms his appearance in the trailer itself or makes fans wait for the grand reveal in the series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to premiere on Disney+ on May 25.
