Did Mohammed Diab & Oscar Isaac just confirm Moon Knight Season 2?

Moon Knight, an MCU series featuring the titular superhero, had been released on Disney+ previously as a limited series in 2021. But now Mohammed Diab has shared a video on social media where the Moon Knight director and Oscar Isaac, who plays the titular character in the show, are seen together in Cairo, the filming location for Season 1.

Moon Knight follows Marc Specter and Steven Grant, two alternate identities fitted into a body of a man with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), who the Egyptian God Khonsu targets to turn into the superhero Moon Knight.

The show stars Oscar Isaac and May Calamawy in the lead and Ethan Hawke as the antagonist. It received positive reviews for its serious tone, stunning performances, and accurate representation of the disorder.

The post-credits scene in the finale of Season 1 left a prominent plot point for Season 2 of Moon Knight to address. The scene ended with Hawke’s Harrow dying at the hands of Jake Lockley, a third and more ruthless identity in Grant and Specter’s body. Khonsu uses Lockley to finish the more heartless parts of his divine mission, unbeknownst to Specter and Grant.

A fan spotted Mohammed Diab and Oscar Isaac in Cairo. And when asked if Moon Knight will be back with Season 2, Isaac’s cryptic answer almost confirmed the possibility of a second season.

Mohammed Diab shared the fan’s TikTok video on his Twitter with the caption “Moon Knight Season 2?” which uproars fans.

The video concluded With Oscar’s playful answer to the fan’s question, giving hope to MCU fans for seeing the Egyptian superhero’s return along with May Calamawy’s return as Scarlet Scarab.

Marvel’s panel at Comic-Con 2022 had renewed Loki and What If alone for Season 2, but since the D23 Expo is right around the corner, fans can expect an announcement for the hero’s return on September 10, if Oscar Isaac’s words are to be taken seriously.
