The Wait is Over! Teen Wolf: The Movie Official Trailer is Here

Only a month before the streaming premiere of Teen Wolf: The Movie, Paramount+ dropped the upcoming spinoff’s official trailer, showing the rise of a great evil in Beacon Hills, which reunites Scott and his divided pack to save their old town.

The reunion film will return years after the season 6 finale and pick up the story where Scott must return to Beacon Hills to unite his old friends and new allies in the deadliest war the town has ever faced.

The two-minute trailer features the return of the Oni, who we last saw in season 3, and like the last time, the Nogitsune is back, again controlling the deadly warriors and haunting our not-So-Young heroes.

With lots of action, mystery, and drama, the trailer also sees the return of Tyler Posey’s Scott, Tyler Hoechlin’s Derek, Holland Roden’s Lydia, Shelley Henig’s Malia, Colton Haynes’ Jackson, and more.

The Oni

Watching the trailer, we found some new faces and lamented the absence of old ones. Let’s first tackle one face we all expected to see in a very Andrew Garfield-like reveal.

Dylan O’Brien, who played Stiles in the six-year run of Teen Wolf, declined to return, and though some still hoped to see him in the 2023 film, the trailer showed no signs of his surprise appearance.

Another notable addition to the team is Derek’s son – yes, you heard that correctly, Daddy Derek just got a new meaning in the movie. Vince Mattis was chosen by Hoechlin, who also serves as one of the film’s EP along with Posey, to play his son’s role in the 2023 movie.

It’ll be pretty interesting to see Derek fill a father’s shoes, highlighting how grown-up our teen wolves really are after all these years. And now we guess the question that who is the titular teen wolf in the film will be answered with the introduction of Eli Hale.

Allison Argent

And last but definitely not least, Allison Argent has risen from the dead to join the gang back in Beacon Hills, just without her memory. But even though Scott reunites with the love of his life, everyone warns him that it couldn’t be Allison and that it’s best to be wary of this doppelganger.

Seeing her involvement with the Nogitsune and how she doesn’t remember the greatest love of her life, we’re betting on something nefarious involved with this Allison. But it’s still great to see Crystal Reed back after all these years with her trusty bow and arrow.

Now that the trailer is out, we know you can’t wait for January 26, 2023, just like us. But at least we’re only a month away before returning to Beacon Hills.
