Peacemaker Episode 7 Teaser Shows Task Force X Battling the Butterflies and the White Dragon

Peacemaker episode 6 ending sets the stage for episode 7. The odds seem to be stacked up against Peacemaker, and fans have already begun speculating what the final two episodes of this epic show would have in store for them.

To add to their excitement, Peacemaker episode 7 teaser dropped, hinting at a racy and nail-biting penultimate episode. We see butterflies disguised as police officers knocking at Adebayo’s door, Judomaster making a kick-ass reappearance, Peacemaker setting out to kill the cow, and the infamous White Dragon ruining the mission by trying to kill his son, Peacemaker.

I know I’ve mentioned too many things in just one sentence, but that’s what the teaser felt like to me. It gave me that adrenaline rush and got me even more pumped about episode 7, that’s coming out next week.

Like The Suicide Squad, I’m sure the finale would be a bloodbath where Peacemaker and the Task Force X fight off the alien butterflies in a cinematic way. But, the teaser hinted at battles in the penultimate episode of the season itself. So how exactly would Peacemaker go against the butterflies and his father, the White Dragon?

Peacemaker episode 7 will likely showcase Peacemaker, Vigilante, and Economus dealing with the cow and the White Dragon, as Adebayo, Harcourt, and Murn fight off Judomaster and the police officers disguised as butterflies at Adebayo’s apartment.

The teaser showcased a team divided in terms of their morale and loyalties. On one hand, we see Harcourt confront Adebayo about planting the diary in Peacemaker’s trailer, and on the other hand, we see Peacemaker shocked at the fact that his own father wants to kill him.

After episode 6, the team’s spirit was not at its highest. Peacemaker knew everyone was hiding something from him, Adebayo was struggling to keep too many secrets, and Murn was under extreme pressure because only he truly understood the gravity of the situation.

To add to this, Vigilante lost the butterfly in Goff’s head, who then set off a chain of events that led to Sophie and the entire police station turning into Butterflies and releasing a statement that portrays Peacemaker as a psychopathic killer. Meanwhile, the White Dragon and his Ku Klux Klan prepped to kill Peacemaker.

The situation couldn’t get any worse for our peace-loving hero and Task Force X. Now, the butterflies will go after the entire team, which currently seems fractured due to their complexes and issues. So here’s how I think episode 7 will showcase the battles.

After the news leak, Economus would go to Peacemaker and Vigilante to get them out of harm’s way while also trying to convince Peacemaker to trust the team. Harcourt would go on to Adebayo’s place to understand why she did what she did and to know who’s behind her actions. After all, Adebayo is too naive to try something like this on her own.

Once the team is split, we might see two parallel battles. I use the word ‘might’ because I think these wouldn’t be full-on fights like the team had at the facility. Instead, we would see a cat and mouse chase where the butterflies and the White Dragon pursue the different members of Task Force X as they try to evade them and stay in one piece while doing so.

Peacemaker, Vigilante, and Economus

In the teaser, Peacemaker says, “I trust them….” This could mean that Economus has somehow convinced Peacemaker that they all are a team. But, we don’t know if he revealed Murn’s identity. Either way, Peacemaker sets out to hunt down the cow along with Vigilante and Economus

However, on their way, they get interrupted by the White Dragon, who seems to be more determined than ever to kill his son, Peacemaker. We might see a small dual between the father-son duo. Considering Auggie has caught Chris off-guard, Chris would still be recovering from the shock of seeing his father trying to kill him.

Peacemaker might either evade The White Dragon after seeing a glimpse of his powers, or their encounter would shed light on the story behind their issues.

Besides this, we also see a shot of Sophie Song and an officer surrounded by trees. It looks like she’s somewhere near where Peacemaker might be and is pursuing the hero by herself. Whether the two will meet each other or not is something we’ll find out in the episode.

Adebayo, Harcourt, and Murn

Adebayo and Harcourt are at the former’s apartment. We see the police, who could be butterflies in disguise, knock on their door, but it’s Judomaster standing in the doorway. It is pretty likely that Adebayo’s emotionally overwhelming conversation with Harcourt about choosing sides is interrupted by the butterflies and Judomaster.

Judomaster had earlier escaped from the team’s headquarters. He was severely injured back then but now seems to have recovered. In episode 6, the butterfly in Goff’s head takes over Sophie’s body, who is seen leading the entire army of butterflies. Goff’s butterfly knew about the Task Force and would’ve instructed the other officers to hunt down all the members.

While Murn is not seen fighting here, there’s a good chance that he might join them, considering they’re a little short-handed. I don’t think they’d fight to take the butterflies down because they are not prepared. Instead, they’ll fight just to stall them and escape when they have the chance.

Conclusion

With the team divided into two and a whole lot of people coming after all its members, episode 7 will surely be an adrenaline-inducing roller coaster ride.

From the teaser, I sense that James Gunn is turning the heat on and rapidly building up to the finale. Well, I’m already excited by the thought of what the next episode will hold, and I can’t wait to watch it.
