Peacock Reveals Deleted Scenes from The Office on Twitter

The popular sitcom, The Office, moved streaming homes from Netflix to Peacock on January 1, 2021. The fans weren’t thrilled about having to pay for yet another streaming service to watch the series.

Peacock revealed a never-seen-before scene clip from episode 23 of season 3 on Twitter to attract new attract subscribers. The cast can be seen singing songs on a bus in the clip. The move was a day after the entire series premiered on the streaming platform.

The tweet was captioned “The Flintstones theme song wasn’t the only song #TheOffice cast sang on the bus. Check out this never-before-seen deleted scene and stream extended episodes and extras with #TheOfficeonPeacock.”

The clip was from season 3, episode 23 titled “Beach Games,” in which Micheal and his co-workers are travelling on a bus while singing some popular songs.

In the original episode, the cast sings “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers and The Flintstones theme song. But in the clip shared by Peacock’s official Twitter handle, the cast is seen singing “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers, “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John, and “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba.

In the original “Beach Games” episode Micheal Scott was being considered for a promotion. Micheal tries to decide who should take over his position after he gets promoted. He plans a fun trip to the beach to make the said decision.

However, ahead of the series premiering on the platform, Peacock released another never-seen-before deleted scene on Twitter from the series finale.

The 5-minute clip features Jim Halpert’s final prank on Dwight Schrute, where Jim tries to convince Dwight that he is in the Matrix simulation. He teams up with Pam to train a black cat to walk by his office twice.

They also bring in the twin brothers Glenn and Ben in the prank to convince Dwight further. Then we see Hunk dressing up as Dorpheus (Morpheus’s brother) as he tries to convince Dwight into taking the red pill.

Amusingly though, Dwight refuses to accept the pill, even though he believed the prank. He says how he doesn’t want to lose happiness after finally finding it. The clip also tributes Dane, who died in 2018.

As of January 1, 2021, The Office is no longer available on Netflix in the US. It is currently being streamed on NBC’s new streaming platform Peacock. The first two seasons are available for free, and viewers can watch the remaining seasons by subscribing to the premium or premium pro plans.
