Ben jumps into 1998 and realizes he is on a space shuttle. It turns out that he’s in the body of one of his personal heroes, an astronaut named David Tamura, who died mysteriously on the same mission. Meanwhile, Addison discovers a secret drive in her apartment.
Magic asks the team to stop Ben from getting his memories back and Addison doesn’t agree with the tactic. With Ziggy’s help, Addison guides Ben in saving the astronauts and he makes his next time jump.
1. Episode 3 Speculation
Jenn and Magic manage to track down Janis’ address and discover the secret lab in her basement. Addison turns in the drive that she found and it turns out to be a key to the drive Jenn stole from Janis’ lab.
The team will likely work on scanning the database as it could lead to possible clues on Ben’s next jump. If they are able to find a pattern, they might be able to uncover why Ben made the jump in the first place.

4. Episode 2 Recap
Ben’s next leap is to 1998 into an astronaut named David Tamura. He makes the leap just as David is aboard the Atlantis and taking off into space. Since David is one of Ben’s personal heroes, his memories come back sooner this time.
Addison turns her apartment upside down after receiving Ben’s video message. She locates a hidden flash drive but it turns out to be password protected. She asks Ian for help in gaining access to the files.
Later, Addison finds out about Ben’s connection to Janis Calavicci. Magic asks the team to maintain Ben’s memory loss as that would be the only safeguard they can put in place in case Ben and Janis secretly planned to put the operation in jeopardy.
Once the team locates Ben, Addison visits him as a hologram and tells him that he’s probably here to save David as he died on this mission. Ben makes a dangerous decision that ultimately leads to him saving the crew’s lives.

Based on the 80s science fiction series of the same name, Quantum Leap is a revival series created by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.
The series follows the events thirty years after Dr. Sam Beckett disappeared into the Quantum Leap accelerator. The project has been revived and a new team has been tasked with solving the mystery of the machine.
The show premiered on September 19, 2022 on NBC.
