The upcoming season of Ted Lasso, which is speculated to be the show’s final season, picks up with AFC Richmond’s promotion to the Premier League. In the less than a minute long clip, we witness Rebecca (encouraged by her Director of Football Operations, Leslie Higgins) pushing Ted to enhance the team’s performance for the forthcoming Premier League season. Initially, Ted seems satisfied with his present squad, but he eventually agrees to Rebecca’s proposal after she motivates him.
Aside from suggesting that the primary focus of Ted, Rebecca, and Leslie will be to enhance AFC Richmond’s squad, the recently released clip of Ted Lasso season 3 serves as a brief reminder of what to expect in the upcoming season.
During the clip, Rebecca recalls a scene from the season 1 finale in which Ted vows to regain promotion and win the Premier League next season following the team’s defeat against Manchester City and eventual relegation to a lower division.
