Reservation Dogs Season 2 Episode 10: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation

Willie Jack receives a letter from her teacher that Daniel wrote in their freshman year as part of a time capsule project. She decides to visit Hokti in prison despite her parents advising her not to. The meeting is initially awkward and Hokti avoids the topic of Daniel.

Willie Jack tells her that she’s hurting too and her entire friend group changed after Daniel’s death. Hokti warms up to her eventually, and with the guidance of an ancestral spirit, she advises Willie Jack on how to bring her friends back together.

1. Episode 10 Speculation

Willie Jack brings her friends together over a meal and they all read Daniel’s letter in turns. After this, they all agree that they should “do it.” The Rez Dogs will come together to fulfill whatever it is that Daniel dreamed of doing in his letter. The same will be revealed in the upcoming episode.

It’s likely that in doing so, they will reunite as a friend group and start the process to heal from Daniel’s passing.

We can also expect to see Hokti be a part of Willie Jack’s life again, as she puts her name on the visitors’ list.

Chapter 10 of the Reservation Dogs Season 2 series, titled “I Still Believe”, has been released on Wednesday, Sep 28, 2022 at 12:00 am PDT.

This will be the final episode of this season. No delays have been announced.

5. Episode 9 Recap

Cheese is happy to be living with his grandmother and enjoys wholesome meals every day.  Elora gets a job at the local convenience store. Bear struggles to stay awake in class since he’s exhausted from working.

With graduation just around the corner for Bear and Willie Jack, their teacher hands them the letters they wrote to themselves in Freshman year. They laugh as they read each other’s letters.

After the class, their teacher hands Willie Jack Daniel’s letter. The teacher thought she should have it since she’s Daniel’s cousin. Later, Willie Jack visits Daniel’s mother, Hokti, in prison. Willie Jack gets her up to date with everything that’s been happening.

Hokti immediately tenses up when the topic of Daniel comes up. Willie Jack asks if she’d like to read Daniel’s letter but Hokti pushes her away. Eventually, she opens up and gives Willie Jack advice on how to bring her friends back together.

6. About Reservation Dogs

Reservation Dogs is an American comedy television series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi. It is a notable first in that it features all Indigenous writers and directors, along with an almost entirely-Indigenous American cast and production team.

The series follows the lives of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma, as they spend their days committing crime and fighting it, in a effort to get to California.

 

It is also the first series to be shot entirely in Oklahoma. The series premiered on August 9, 2021 on FX on Hulu and is currently airing its second season.
