Netflix Releases New Clip of Godzilla Singular Point English Dub

Netflix Geeked released the first look of English Dub version of the series, Godzilla Singular Point on June 11 via Twitter which goes by the caption:

“If you see Rodan – run. “

In less than a month, Godzilla Singular Point will make its international debut on Netflix, and North American audiences will be privy to sci-fi author Toh EnJoe’s wellspring of theoretical sciences & kaiju.

Like the majority of anime that Netflix brings overseas, Singular Point will have an English dub option.

A new clip that Netflix has released shows Rodan’s arrival, the pterodactyl kaiju that has recently spread its wings in the sequel film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

As the clip doesn’t give us any looks into the new interpretation of the lizard king, it shows the protagonist of the series, Yun Arikawa, a mechanical engineer that is shown sitting next to the robot known as Jet Jaguar.

Jet Jaguar is a robot who has been a part of Godzilla’s mythos, introduced in Toho live-action movies, was seen battling the kaiju of the world, and will continue to do so in the upcoming series later this month.

Godzilla Singular Point was announced back in October 2020 and unsurprisingly garnered attention. After the lackluster reaction to the Planet of the Monsters trilogy, fans were ready for a new anime take on the iconic franchise.

In addition to the anime, Godzilla vs. Kong saw release this year, and IDW is publishing comics based on the franchise again.

Godzilla Singular Point is currently airing in Japan on broadcast television and Netflix. But the fans outside japan don’t have to wait much since its international release is on June 24.

Announced back in October 2020, Godzilla Singular Point consists of 13 episodes and will tell a new and original story.

A trailer for Godzilla: Singular Point English dub was released earlier this month.

The footage does an excellent job of establishing the show’s overall atmosphere. It will be interesting seeing how Rodan factors into the story. The first trailer teases the army of Rodan creatures and shows a different design for the flying kaiju.
