The show stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk/Bruce Banner, Tim Roth as The Abomination/Emil Blonsky, Jameela Jamil as Titania, Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, and Renee Elise Goldsberry as Amelia. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Benedict Wong’s Wong will also appear.

Kat Coiro, the director of the upcoming MCU show, explains the process behind writing a legal comedy-drama and how she has set out to diverge from the serious tone of the previous MCU shows.

It’s always been about creating a balance between a new genre for Marvel, which is the half-hour legal comedy, but also feeling like it really fits into the MCU, and feels big and cinematic, and has action-packed moments. It was always about finding that balance.

The trailer for the upcoming TV series was released following Marvel’s Panel on Day 3 of SDCC 2022. The trailer had multiple hilarious components—from Jennifer and Bruce’s friendly banter to Jennifer’s prominent fourth-wall break and other dialog suggesting a comedic turn from the typical setting of MCU shows.

Jennifer must complete her training to fit into the role of the green-skinned superhero while balancing her life as a superhero lawyer. More issues arise in her path when she is appointed to represent Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky, a.k.a The Abomination, who we know from The Incredible Hulk (2008).

Tim Roth’s Abomination now connects Bruce Banner from the 2008 film to the MCU Hulk we have witnessed in many projects preceding this one and has solidified The Incredible Hulk in the timeline of the MCU.

Tatiana Maslany has previously commended the show for maintaining a good balance between action and comedy, and said that her hesitance in playing the character was blown away by the incredible writing.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will provide fans with a fresh take on the superhero story where the superhuman prioritizes their human identity over their superhero responsibilities.
