Unannounced Marvel Movies Teased by ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ Showrunner

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier head writer Malcolm Spellman talked about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and unannounced movies of Phase 4.

In an interview with Murphy’s Multiverse, Spellman stated, “I was surprised about how few of the upcoming Marvel movies have been announced. The fans will start to become more and more clear as these projects get announced.”

The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, revealed way back in 2018 that there are plans for content lined up till 2025. According to Disney’s 2020 Investor Day Presentation, Marvel has revealed shows and movies only up till 2023.

The disclosed slate so far includes Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, Loki, and many more shows.

Whereas, there are eight movies, including the much-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Widow, Eternals, etc. with confirmed release dates through 2022 and multiple other films and Disney+ shows in development.

Captain America 4 is in development and Spellman has gotten the green light to pen the script with staff writer Dalan Musson. Although Spellman refused to talk about the film, it is likely that the project will follow Sam Wilson’s story, played by Anthony Mackie in TFATWS.

We don’t know whether Chris Evans will return, as Marvel hasn’t revealed any further details and remains tight-lipped.

Spellman talked to Comicbook.com in an interview about how Marvel Studios gives its filmmakers a lot of freedom with their projects and develops the futures for characters based on what writers and directors feel is appropriate for their characters and setting.

Regardless of when more Phase 4 projects are announced, it would be safe to assume that Marvel has no intentions of stopping anytime soon and only plans on expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe much, much further.
