Sonic and Tails Crash a Wedding in New Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Clip

A new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 clip shows Sonic and Tails crashing a wedding ceremony, bringing in big heaps of snow in the tropical setting of Hawai’i.

Ahead of the film’s release this Friday, IGN posted the clip featuring James Marsden, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Tika Sumpter, and Ben Schwartz.

The clip starts with Rachel and Randall as they’re standing at the altar trying to recite their wedding vows when Tom runs in asking for the ring.

The couple is confused. While Randall is trying to decide what to do with the ring, Tom, very politely, apologizes before punching him and snatching the ring from his hands. As it turns out, the ring is the one that Sonic uses to port himself to different places.

Tom opens the portal, and Sonic and Tails come crashing in, with a large amount of snow sliding in on all of the guests, ruining the ceremony to the point of no salvation.

If you’re wondering who the duo might be running from, our bet is on Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik’s new partner.

An exclusive featurette posted by IGN revealed a behind-the-scenes clip with Idris Elba and Jim Carrey, showing Knuckles gliding through the snow, chasing behind Sonic. As evident in the clip, Knuckles is powerful, sinister, and out to get Sonic.

The film’s synopsis further emphasizes this, revealing that Dr. Robotnik and Knuckles are in search of a mystical emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations.

Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 arrives in theatres in the US on April 8, 2022.
