Sony Pictures has delayed the release of two of their most anticipated upcoming Spider-Man spinoffs, Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter.
Sony has partnered with Marvel for the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy. But they also attempted to launch their own separate universe involving characters such as Morbius and Venom. Out of Sony’s upcoming films, Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web were both due for release in 2023.
However, according to the reports of Variety, Sony has pushed back Kraven the Hunter by ten months and Madame Web has been delayed by four months. Kraven the Hunter was originally supposed to release on January 13, 2023, but has been pushed to October 6, 2023, instead.
Madame Web was originally supposed to release on October 6, 2023, but has now been shifted to February 16, 2023.
Kraven the Hunter will now release a week before the upcoming Exorcist and a month before Marvel Studios’ upcoming comic superhero movie, Blade.
Madame Web is moved to a release date that was previously occupied by an untitled Marvel film. However, the movie was moved to September 6, enabling Madame Web to take over the date.
Though the wait is now going to be a little longer for fans, hopefully, Sony will make sure it’s worth it!
