SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from Loki.

Loki actress Sophia Di Martino has addressed the theories regarding the identity of the postman on the Disney+ show. As the third show in the MCU’s ongoing Phase Four, Loki has completed its halfway run with the first three episodes.

Although Martino’s Lady Loki was introduced in the second episode and is a relatively new character, the third episode revealed many interesting details about her, including her preferred alias of Sylvie and her long-distance relationship with a postman.

However, no further details were revealed about the mysterious mail carrier, which has since led fans to go wild about the person’s identity.

When asked during an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Martino said she was flattered by all the theories about who it could be. Read her full statement below:

A guy told me earlier there was speculation about the postman that’s mentioned. I say something about having a long-distance relationship with a postman. And apparently there has been people coming up with stories of who this postman is which I find brilliant and I’m really enjoying how much everyone’s engaging with the character and the show and the whole thing is just excellent.

The most popular theory circulating online is that of Sylvie being in a relationship with Willie Lumpkin, a postman first introduced in the comics in 1963.

He was also famously portrayed by the late Stan Lee during his cameo in Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Furthermore, the comics also reveal that Willie time travels at one point, which could explain how he keeps in touch with Sylvie. Though the character doesn’t come across Sylvie or Lady Loki in the comics, let alone have a relationship with, he does try to woo Aunt May.

But considering the postman’s history and Martino’s response, it is likely that the reference was merely a throwaway line and doesn’t have any connection whatsoever to the comics.

Since Episode 3 also planted the seed for Sylvie actually being The Enchantress and not Lady Loki, it will be interesting to see how the Variant- oops, Sylvie’s narrative plays out for the rest of the show.
