Watch Now: Spider-Man and MJ Get Mobbed in NWH Opening Scene

Spider-Man: No Way Home has released the first opening minute of the movie. Going by the looks of it, we’re not the only ones hungry for answers.

The clip was released at the Late Night show with Seth Meyers, where Tom Holland also reveals that the press has been offered to watch the first forty minutes of the movie.

Us fans will have to do with only the first minute instead.

The movie takes off right from Far From Home, where Peter sees Mysterio’s fabricated clip broadcasting on the building screens. With his hands comically tearing at his hair (or well, mask), Peter then turns to MJ, who’s being mobbed by a crowd because she’s Spider-Man’s girlfriend.

Peter quickly tries to get MJ out of harm’s way and goes swinging across skyscrapers. He then gets them onto an isolated construction plank, high up in the air, which noticeably scares MJ (Dude?!)

The clip ends with Ned calling him up, also bewildered at the situation. (The real question we should be asking is where in his suit does Peter keep his phone. I am accepting all answers.)

A little Easter egg that you may have missed is that Peter swings past a bus with the Rogers musical banner on it. Is it simply a nod to the ongoing Hawkeye, or is it more than just a coincidental tie-in?

It’s insane how within the span of a few seconds, the media changes the narrative turning Spider-Man from a hero who helped defeat Thanos to now Public Enemy #1. It is sadder yet to see the crowd immediately buying into this idea as they try to manhandle Peter and MJ.

It’s no wonder that Peter wants everyone to forget the incident. But things only get worse for Spidey, who ends up opening the multiverse instead.

There are more rumors, speculations, and theories than one can count about what’s going to happen in the movie. But the wait is almost over — Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts in a week on December 17.
