Stranger Things S4 Set Photos: The Group, Claremont House And New Clues

*Cue the Stranger Things theme song*

Welcome back to Hawkins! Well, not exactly, but there are a bunch of new set photos that’ll make you feel like you’re one foot into Hawkins while patiently waiting for Stranger Things to return.

Fans have eagerly been waiting for Stranger Things 4 and hilariously got the show trending on Twitter when everyone collectively started wondering about its return.

After delays in production due to the pandemic, filming for Season 4 has been going on for the past few months.

Now, on-set photos have been circulating online in which Dustin, Max, Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Erica can be seen filming on set near Claremont House.

@stranger4news posted the set photos of the group:

One photo mentions April 26, and it is interesting to note that Season 4 will probably take place in 1986. The first three seasons have been set in November 1983, October 1984, and July 1985, respectively.

Why is this interesting, you might ask? Because April 26, 1986, is the day that the Chernobyl disaster occurred.

A lot of series set in the past sometimes tend to connect real-life incidents and link it with the story’s events, and if Stranger Things is doing that, boy, it’s going to be scary.

According to an early teaser from 2020, we know Hopper is in a Russian prison, so the link wouldn’t be that hard to establish.

We last saw Hawkins in 2019 as Season 3 had Eleven saying goodbye to the town and Hopper (☹). After losing her powers in the finale fight against the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall, it’s uncertain how/if they will return.

Producer Shawn Levy spoke to Variety about the upcoming season and how it’s going to be bigger than the previous ones,

I shot in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We have filmed in Georgia, Lithuania, and New Mexico, so suffice to say, Season 4 is sprawling. It’s visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the prior three seasons.

Levy added that it’s coming ‘soon’ and that the announcement is coming even sooner.

The delay is due in large measure to COVID and the pace at which we have to work to do so safely, but it also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger. It’s the scale of this season and the multi-settings of Season 4.

It’s coming soon enough. And as for when exactly that will be announced — quite soon.

Shawn Levy, Producer

Last year, eight cast members were announced, including Robert Englund, Eduardo Franco, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Tom Wlaschiha, Nikola Djuricko, and Joseph Quinn. Earlier this year, four new entries included Amybeth McNulty, Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, and Grace Van Dien.

With so many new additions, Levy’s statement is pretty promising. Stranger Things has only managed to get bigger each time. Let’s hope, Season 4 sticks to the tradition and is worth the wait.
