The List is Out! Succession Power Rankings After Season 4 Episode 1

After the cliffhanger ending of season 3, Succession returns to HBO Max with its fourth and final season this Sunday. Logan locked his children out of Waystar RoyCo, and they banded together to remove the patriarch from the top.

Care to find out who ranks where on the power hierarchy at the end of the first episode of season 4? Keep on reading, and I’ll count them down for you.

On the seventh and last notch stands Roman Roy, the middle sibling of the Roy children and the least powerful sibling. He may have gained a small piece of the game after he and his siblings slid into first place in the bidding race for PGM, but he’s still dead last on the list.

Shiv Troy

His hesitation about entering in the deal, coupled with his accidental nude situation, Roman’s position at the bottom of this list is no surprise. But season 4 trailer teases that Roman will go back to his father’s side, who is easily one of the more influential players in the game of Succession. Will Roman rise in the ranks by next week?

In sixth place, we have Greg Hirsch, who’s fallen down the ranks since messing up his image in front of Logan, after his dalliance with the Instagram model led to a definite sex tape. But Tom’s brother is still a part of Waystar Royco, earning him a spot on this list higher than Roman, but we’ll have to wait and see where he lands next week.

Up next, in the fifth spot, is Kendall Roy, who’s climbed the ladder after he came clean about the murder and was part of a multi-billion deal with his siblings. Of course, revealing this crucial fact could bite him in the ass in the future, and without RoyCo’s backing, he’s bound to sink if his father or any of his siblings out his secret.

Sitting at number four in the power rankings, Shiv Roy is in a much better position than her other siblings. Despite being cheated out of Waystar after a betrayal from her husband, Shiv still holds a better place in the game. With Tom’s support and genius business skills, Shiv has what it takes to dethrone her father from the top of the Roy family company.

Waystar RoyCo CEO Logan Roy

Tom might be a lackey for Logan, but he is still his closest advisor, thus earning him a third spot in the power rankings as of this week. Leading Waystar Royco’s ATN division and the PGM negotiations on behalf of Logan, Tom’s influential position at Succession after the first episode of season 4 is in the top three.

Logan has trapped his children out of Waystar and will soon get the proceeds from the GoJo acquisition. Even though his children have outbid him for PGM in this week’s episode, he is still in a far better position than any of them. But I reiterate, he is not the most powerful at the end of the season 4 premiere.

Standing at the number one spot in the power rankings as of epiosde1 of season 4 is Nan Pierce, the current CEO of Pierce General Media, Waystar’s biggest rival media conglomerate.

Nan Pierce currently holds all the power since the company in most demand is hers to sell, and she is the lone person who decides who will win Succession in the final season.

The power rankings are susceptible to change with each new episode of season 4 of Succession. Keep watching the drama series on HBO Max every Sunday and stay tuned to Cine Dope for every new update.
