The CW is looking to renovate, but before that happens, we still have some of the old regime’s shows up and running. Superman & Lois has reached season 3, and with its latest season premiere just a couple of months away, CW just gave us a sneak peek of what’s to come in the new season with its first trailer.
The show picks off only weeks after the season 2 finale, where Superman ended Parasite. The final episode of season 2 also explained how Superman & Lois is not a part of the Arrowverse and is a duplicate of Earth-Prime, minus other heroes. Watch below what the CW has planned for season 3.
The new trailer quickly teases that Lois and Clark might be expecting another super baby besides Jonathan and Jordan Kent.
The trailer also gives us our first look of a re-casted Jonathan Kent, now played by Michael Bishop, and teases Jordan taking on more responsibilities. But the family is bound to be torn apart sometime in the upcoming season since the trailer reveals that someone kidnapped Lois.
Even though the trailer doesn’t say who did it, we can bet it’s related to the Intergang, who were teased as one of the antagonists in season 3. Lois’ father and Clark are clearly not happy about it, and it will be up to Superman to save his wife.
The 30-second trailer doesn’t offer much apart from Lois’ possible pregnancy, her kidnapping, and Clark’s promise to get her back with his family’s help.
But we get snippets where Lois calls Clark out for help as a tumbling Daily Planet can be seen in the background. Kryptonite also seems to come into play, and we fear Intergang is not the only villain the Kents should worry about.
While season 3 sets up higher stakes and more dangerous plots for the Kent-Lane family, we don’t know if the CW will continue the TV series beyond season 3. After Nexstar took over 75% of the broadcasting network, it promised a depletion in the number of shows.
The CW has only renewed All American so far, and the other shows, including Superman and Lois, have no guarantee that they’ll share the same fate. Nexstar’s vision gives little hope to the Arrowverse fandom.
We think it’s best not to dwell on the uncertainties; instead, enjoy what’s to come and hope for the best. So, get ready for Superman & Lois’ next adventure, commencing on March 24, 2023.
