The team responds to a home invasion call and ends up uncovering a conspiracy to murder a pro footballer by the name of Derrick Nichols. He tells them he’s received a lot of threatening hate mail in the past. After a few interviews around the neighborhood, they find an online forum run by Nichols’ haters.

On the forum, a man admits to making the hoax call in a disguised voice and says that he’ll stop at nothing until Nichols is dead. The investigation turns when Nichols’ wife, Carolyn, is kidnapped. As it turns out, his wife was actually working with a man who was upset with Nichols for backing out of a sixty million dollar deal. They had conspired together to take Nichols down.
