‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Gets a New Official Poster

A new official poster for Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has been released. As Marvel’s second Phase 4 series gets closer to its end, the drop comes as a wonderful surprise for fans.

Featuring Baron Zemo in his traditional purple mask and an obscure figure of a woman resembling Sharon Carter, the characters are set against the dark backdrop of a city, possibly Madripoor. Both of them made their grand return to the MCU franchise in episode 3 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Check out the poster here:

Even though Zemo’s appearance was teased at the ending of the second episode, Carter’s entrance in episode 3 was unexpected. However, whether their arrival ends up being good or bad for Sam and Bucky remains to be seen.

Following their search for the Flag Smashers led by Karli Morgenthau, the duo enlisted the help of the imprisoned Baron Zemo, who played the villain in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Barnes orchestrates a riot at the prison to help Zemo escape, who later expresses an avid interest in meeting Morgenthau.

They travel to Madripoor, where during an altercation with bounty hunters, the trio is saved by Carter, who is revealed to be living as a fugitive in the lawless city under the cover of being an art dealer. Sharon is shown as an embittered figure in the series due to not having been pardoned like the others and goes so far as to condemn the role of superheroes.

Based on her shady movements and behavior, many fans have theorized that her role in the series is not as simple as being a friend to Sam and Bucky. On that note, Zemo, an established villain, could also be in their adventure for his own ulterior motives.

Episode 3 also name-dropped the Power Broker, a criminal businessman whose identity has remained unknown throughout the Marvel franchise, including the comics. Based on that, fans are also of the opinion that either of the two could actually be the mysterious Power Broker

However, since the release of the official poster, it seems more likely that Zemo is the MCU’s Power Broker and Sharon could merely be his pawn. Whether any of the theories are true or not remains to be seen but one thing’s for sure: the next episode will be one to watch out for!
