DCEU’s The Flash Movie Halted Filming Due To Batpod Accident On Set

Filming on the set of The Flash movie was halted last afternoon after an accident took place on the streets of Glasgow.

The upcoming DCEU movie began filming earlier this year in April and so far has had various reveals due to leaked set photos and videos.

According to Glasgow Live, eyewitnesses at the scene said a crew member collided with Batman on his Batcycle from behind and went under the Batcycle while filming on Renfield Street.

Paramedics were called to the scene to attend to the injured crew member. Reports suggest that the crew member wasn’t gravely injured.

Twitter user @FlashFilmNews posted a video of the ambulance on set as it drove away.

After the brief half, filming resumed, but there wasn’t much activity for the rest of the day.

Just a few days ago, new set photos of Affleck’s new Batsuit and Batpod were leaked while filming in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Flash movie will have Ezra Miller return as the Scarlet Speedster/Barry Allen. Alongside Miller, the cast includes Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú, Sasha Calle, Ron Livingston (replacing Billy Crudup), Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck.

It’s also rumored that The CW’s Barry Allen, aka Grant Gustin, will make a cameo in the film. Gustin and Miller’s Flash(s) previously met in the crossover event of Crisis On Infinite Earths.

Recent images hint at Barry talking to another Barry, naturally hinting at it being the Reverse-Flash (given that the film will supposedly take inspiration from the Flashpoint storyline.)

In the story’s main timeline, Reverse-Flash is the one who murders Barry’s mother, which leads Barry to go back in time to stop him, save his mother, and also prove his father’s innocence.

But he ends up folding the entire Speed Force into himself and messing the whole timeline up.

Andy Muschietti (IT) is directing The Flash movie with screenplay written by Christina Hodson. It is executive produced by Marianne Jenkins with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti as producers.

The Flash currently has a theatrical release date scheduled for November 4, 2022.
