The Flash Season 8 Episode 12 Speculation
Caitlin is very sure of Ronnie being trapped in the Black Flame form and wanted to believe he simply had no control over what was happening.
Frost and her take a huge risk destroying the device that is finally able to trap the Black Flame and it seems to work as Ronnie resumes his form and thanks Caitlin for saving him.
However, Caitlin realizes she made a grave mistake when she sees the anomaly in the scans in S.T.A.R. labs and Ronnie reveals himself to be the deadly villain Deathstorm. How will Team Flash tackle the reappearance of this villain?

The Flash Season 8 Episode 11 Recap
The elusive Black Flame has been terrorizing Central City for the past few weeks and Team Flash’s attempts to capture the entity have failed so far.
Caitlin is approached by the Black Flame privately and she hears the voice of her dead husband, Ronnie Raymond, asking for help. Caitline reveals this occurrence to Team Flash and realizes that perhaps Black Flame had been trying to get to her all this time.
She deduces that perhaps Ronnie was reborn as the Black Flame when he saved Central City by sacrificing himself and has no control over this new form of his.
The team decides to come up with a plan to rescue Ronnie but Caitlin’s current boyfriend isn’t thrilled at the idea and ends up breaking up with her.
Cecile, on the other hand, believes that the Black Flame has undergone far too much pain and simply wants to be freed from it and is seeking an end to his misery.
As Iris’ condition worsens, Tinya plots her revenge for making her biological mother disappear. The young metahuman uses her powers to make Iris disappear as Sue watches in shock.
The Flash has another encounter with the Black Flame and this time, the device is able to trap him for good. However, Frost destroys the device to free Black Flame so that Caitlin can appeal to Ronnie’s human side and evoke it back into existence.
