Back at S.T.A.R Labs, Team Flash runs some tests on Barry and discovers that his body’s internal clock seems to have aged rapidly. This severely hinders his powers and his physical capacity, leaving him unable to use a lot of his abilities. He tries to stop the villain as he raids a lab but he uses Barry’s dwindling powers to his advantage and manages to overpower him.

Barry begins to age at a rapid rate and even starts showing signs of cognitive decline and starts to experience lapses in his memory. Team Flash discovers that using his speed force seems to be increasing the rate at which he’s aging and if he continues, it could possibly kill him.

Finally, Barry makes a gamble on his own life and overloads the device with gamma radiation, eventually destroying it.
