Meet Skaar, Son of The Hulk in the She-Hulk Finale

The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law finale, that aired today, introduced us to a brand-new character in the MCU, Bruce Banner’s son, Skaar.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the origin story of Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin. The series follows Jen’s life after her transformation into She-Hulk and how she manages to balance her career as a lawyer and her new-found superpowers.

The Disney+ series was also the first time that MCU featured Hulk in a lead role since the 2008 film, The Incredible Hulk. Bruce Banner played a significant role in the She-Hulk premiere episode and also made a couple of appearances in later episodes.

He returned for a cameo once again in the finale that aired today. However, along with him, the appearance of his son has managed to gain a lot of attraction.

Towards the end of the She-Hulk finale, Hulk pays a visit to his cousin Jennifer, while she is having dinner with her family and Daredevil. Bruce explains that he has been on Sakaar all this while.

He then announces that he wants his family to meet someone new, introducing them to his son, Skaar. Skaar is shown to be a full CGI Hulk. He is being played by Will Deusner. In the Marvel comics, Skaar was the result of Hulk spending his time on Sakaar.

The introduction of Skaar could be a tease for a future Hulk film. Earlier in the episode, when Jen speaks to AI brain, K.E.V.I.N, she rejects the idea of Bruce showing up in the She-Hulk finale to save the day.

But K.E.V.I.N tries to point out to her that Bruce’s appearance is not only necessary to explain why he was in space but also to introduce another character. At this point, Jen says, “save it for the movie.” It is not clear which movie she was referring to but it is likely that it was a reference to World War Hulk.

World War Hulk has been rumored to be in the works for a long time now, ever since the She-Hulk premiere. The introduction of Skaar could be a step ahead in that direction for the MCU. Perhaps, Marvel Studios is planning to adapt World War Hulk and Planet Hulk into a single story.

Nevertheless, as long as we get our highly anticipated big screen return of The Hulk, all’s good. Hopefully, there will be more of Skaar in the ‘movie’ than Jen was talking about in the finale.
