The Legend of Vox Machina S2 Is Back, And There Are Dragons!

New details of The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 have just been released, and information on the storyline and several character returns have been confirmed.

The series is based on Critical Role’s first Dungeons and Dragons campaign and follows an unlikely group of heroes who manage to kill a vicious dragon and earn the appreciation of King Tal’Dorei.

The protagonist Vox Machina embarks on a mission to take back the city of Whitestone from Lord and Lady Briarwood, who have stolen their homeland from one of the party members. Completing this mission will enshrine their names in the history books forever.

Season 1 ends with the dragons flying toward the King’s palace and placing everyone’s lives in danger.

Amazon Studios has recently revealed the nitty gritty of Vox Machina season 2. Many interesting details have been laid out, including the confirmation of a deadly fight with the dragons, known as the Chroma Conclave.

It has also been confirmed that the Chroma Conclave will take place continuously for many seasons. It is not a surprise, given that The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 has already been confirmed.

Talking about the casting, Amazon Studios has revealed that our beloved Critical Role characters Kashaw (Will Friedle) and Zahra (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) will make their debut in season 2.

Additionally, season 2 sees the return of characters like Delilah (Grey DeLisle), and Uriel (Khary Payton), as both characters have featured in the posters released by Prime Video. Other characters include Lance Riddick (John Wick), who will play Thordak, the Cinder King.

The official summary of season 2 is as follows:

After saving the realm from evil and destruction at the hands of the most terrifying power couple in Exandria, Vox Machina is faced with saving the world once again—this time, from a sinister group of dragons known as the Chroma Conclave.

If season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina is anything like The Critical Role campaign, it will be much darker than its predecessor.

The dragons pose a mortal threat to the kingdom of Tal’Dorei, and the heroes must gather items of paramount importance in their quest to take them down.

This is where the makers will need to be careful, though. The Legend of Vox Machina could run into some adaptation problems if it follows the source material too closely. A season dedicated to item gathering could be a little one-toned.

The original cast members are also expected to return. This is not a surprise as every cast member is a producer of Critical Role. They include Laura Bailey (Vex’ahlia), Taliesin Jaffe (Percival de Rolo), Marisha Ray (Keyleth), Travis Willingham (Grog Strongjaw), Matthew Mercer (Various), Sam Riegel (Scanlan Shorthalt), Ashley Johnson (Pike Trickfoot), and Liam O’Brien (Vax’ildan) among others.

Season 2 will be all about getting to know the characters in a better way. The Chroma Conclave will destroy everything, and they will have to start rebuilding the world from scratch. This will give the audience a chance to know the characters in a better way as well.

With its premiere (January 20) inching closer with each passing day, The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 is all set up to intrigue us with its bombastic action, emotions, and, above all, dragons!
