The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Mitch decides that he’ll go back to the US. As they’re approaching the end of their quarantine together, he asks Paola to delete the footage of his interview. A distraught Alex shows up at his front gate in Milan. Mitch reluctantly lets her in and the two have an argument when Alex asks him to release a formal statement saying that the two never slept together.
Alex is worried about the impact being associated with Mitch will have on her career after Maggie Brenner’s book reveals this aspect of their relationship. Mitch agrees and Alex leaves. However, she ends up having to go back to Mitch’s place after a cop pulls her over and she can’t reach out to anyone because her phone is dead.
The two end up reconciling after spending some time together and Mitch arranges for a flight for Alex to head back to New York. A news segment talking about how Mitch specifically targeted black women causes him to have an outburst. He heads over to Paola’s and the two end up sleeping together. Towards the end of the episode, we see Mitch in his car ruminating over everything that went wrong in his life. He swerves the car to avoid a collision and ends up willingly letting go of the steering wheel as his car is headed towards the edge of a cliff.
