The Orville Season 3 Episode 3 Recap
Talla returns from a week-long shore leave after visiting her parents. As soon as she’s back on the ship, she visits Grayson and informs him of some unusual Kaylon activity she noticed on her flight back. As she reunites with the rest of the crew, Isaac tells them of strange signals detected from Narran 1.
Up until this point, Narran 1 was believed to be a barren planet but the electromagnetic signals allude to the presence of a considerable population. Captain Mercer decides this is worth investigating and the crew embarks upon an exploration mission. They arrive on Narran 1 to discover that it is densely populated with sophisticated technology and transportation networks. When they reach the surface of the planet, there’s nothing but dense greenery for miles.
As they make their way through the forest, they come across what looks like a school building. The team makes their way into the building and ends up getting trapped as the doors shut behind them. Back at the ship, LaMarr decides to send in a second landing party after having lost contact with the first one. When the second landing party arrives, they too find no sign of life on the planet.
