An unidentified girl is brought in by a tow truck driver who found her freezing and limping on the side of the road. She wasn’t speaking and was found to have a dislocated shoulder.
Conrad assumes temporary guardianship over her as the two had already bonded. The matter was raised to Atlanta PD.
Meanwhile, Devon attends a sneaker launch event and discovers that the woman hosting the event starts to experience breathlessness.
He introduces himself as a doctor and takes her pulse and advises her to go with him to the hospital immediately. Roxie is used to the bias from medical professionals on account of her size but Devon reassures her that he’ll do his best to help her.
Conrad brings the girl a warm meal and tells her it’s okay for her to scream or cry if she’s in a lot of pain. After more tests it’s revealed that she’d been standing in the rain all night and also had a cracked rib, pointing to abuse.
Scout is put into surgery after her infection spreads and her sister tells the doctors about their abusive father. Winston tells Ana that her Scout will not be returned to an abusive home.
