While the tales of the walking dead will continue for sure, AMC’s flagship show The Walking Dead has reached its final chapter. The Walking Dead Series Finale Plot Predictions

I. The Alexandrians Will Fend the Zombies off (For Now)

Our two main concerns at the end of Episode 23 are the evolved zombies and the Pamela-led Commonwealth.

Since this is the finale, I don’t expect to see our heroes fail in their last battle of the show. Sure, at first, things will appear grim and it may result in the deaths of a few minor characters. But they will eventually be able to fend off the zombies, probably even by aligning some factions of the Commonwealth with themselves.

It is also expected that Negan and Maggie may go after Pamela as revenge for shooting Judith. If we are to take the comic book route, Pamela will mostly likely be arrested. However, it is possible she could die in the scuffle as well.

This will cleverly pave way for Mercer to take over as the next head of the Commonwealth. If you missed it, in S11 Ep 17, there is a Commonwealth citizen holding up a sign that says, “Mercer for President.”

II. Judith Will Live

Judith Grimes

Another big cliffhanger we left with at end of Ep 24 was whether or not Judith will live. The young girl took a bullet that Pamela had meant to fire at Maggie.

In all likelihood, Judith will survive. It would be quite unnecessary to kill the kid off in the show’s last episode, especially because she was painted as the face of the future everyone was fighting for.

Let’s not forget that showrunner Angela Kang confirmed that Judith’s narrations meant she was “telling a story,” which is also probably an indicator that she lives.

On Judith’s front, I also do think we’ll get to see Rick Grimes finally back! He may also bring in some folks from the Civic Republic Military.

III. Spin-off Will Be Set up

While the creators stated that the primary focus of the episode will be to give the show a proper regal ending, I have a feeling we may see some spinoffs set up here.

Rick Grimes

Judith’s storyline may explain the spinoff involving her parents, Rick and Michonne. While it is set for 2023, the six-hour spinoff is yet unnamed.

The other spinoff that we could see set up in the finale is Daryl Dixon, focusing on the characters, Daryl and Carol, in France. France was mentioned to have been attacked by zombies quite a few times throughout the show, so it would be interesting to see how they land up there.

Lastly, we may even see some seeds planted for The Walking Dead: Dead City. This will depict Negan and Maggie going off on their own to fight off some more walkers. However, what triggers this unlikely partnership is yet to be seen.

About The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is a neo-western horror drama that is based on the comic book series of the same name written by Robert Kirkman. It currently stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and others.

Rick Grimes, a sheriff’s deputy, wakes up from a coma to find that the world has just gone through a zombie apocalypse. He soon realizes that the world is divided into the zombies- the ‘walkers’- and a group of survivors who will do anything to survive.

The recent season, that is season 11, will adapt material from issues #175–193 of the comic book series and focuses on the group’s encounter with the Commonwealth, a large network of communities that has advanced equipment and almost fifty thousand survivors living in their different settlements.
