Aptly titled ‘Four Fathers’, episode 2 of This Is Us season 6 revolves around the theme of fatherhood. Randall is shocked to learn the new developments in his daughter’s life and even going on a run doesn’t help him cool off. Kevin is struggling with the new co-parenting arrangement and fears that he’s missing too many special moments while he’s away. Toby is still adjusting to being a stay away dad after being a stay at home dad for so long. In the past, Jack tries to plan a special outing with the kids but it doesn’t go as planned.

This Is Us Season 6 Episode 4 Speculation
All four fathers have a testing day dealing with their little ones. But as Rebecca says, there is a scope for making a good memory until a day ends. While the day ends with a lesson for Jack and Kevin, Toby and Randall have an uphill journey ahead.
Randall admits to Deja that he’s having a hard time with how fast she’s growing up. Beth steps in to give him some perspective on the situation and he comes around. However, he still forbids Deja from seeing Malik which doesnt get the earnest response from Deja. What’s next for this father daughter duo?
Toby makes one last attempt at making up for the lost family time by getting a smoke grill. They decide to become ‘smokers’ and make memories of whatever little time they have together. But we know how that’s going to end.
The episode opens with a grown up Jack Junior cooking on a grill. We learn of his first traumatic memory related to the same grill. The mishap will also become the final nail in the coffin of Kate and Toby’s dying marriage.
The episode ends when Jack gets the news of his mother’s passing. The upcoming episode will obviously deal with their relationship and his grief of losing her. He will travel back to his hometown to plan the funeral and deliver his eulogy and we will get more insights into the theme of motherhood from the rest of the Pearson family. Stay tuned!

Jack is upset about not getting enough time to spend with his kids because he’s too caught up with work. So he decides to take them to their first movie on the weekend. However, the plan backfires when he falls asleep and Kevin runs out to go to the food court. Luckily, Rebecca had written her number on the inside of Kevin’s shoe and mall security calls her.
He later redeems himself by planning a fun home movie experience for the family. Later that night, he gets a phone call telling him his mother has passed away.
In the present, Toby struggles with being away from his kids because of his long-distance job. Kevin is also struggling to get used to the new co-parenting arrangement with Madison. While he’s out for drinks with his co-workers he gets a video from Madison of Franny’s first steps. He rushes to Madison’s and expresses his frustration over the arrangement and that he feels like he’s missing all the special moments.
Randall is furious to learn that Deja is now sexually active. Beth tries to calm him down and tells him that he’s going to have to start accepting the fact that Deja is not a little girl anymore and that she is going to get her a birth control prescription.
About This Is Us
This Is Us is a Dan Fogelman-created American drama television series that debuted on NBC on September 20, 2016. On October 27, 2020, the fifth season will premiere. It was announced in May 2021 that the sixth season would be the series’ final.
The tv series follows the lives of three siblings, Kevin, Kate, and Randall (nicknamed the “Big Three”), along with their parents, Jack and Rebecca Pearson. It takes place primarily in the current time and employs flashbacks to illustrate their personal past.
Most episodes feature a storyline set in the present (2016–2021) and a storyline set at a particular time in the past; even so, some episodes are set in only one time period or use multiple flashback time periods. Flashbacks frequently centre on Jack and Rebecca in 1980, both before and after the birth of their children, or on the family when the Big Three are still children or adolescents (and played by two sets of younger actors).
