As the God Of Thunder’s fourth solo film is set to release on July 8, 2022, Hemsworth’s Thor, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, and director Taika Waititi’s Korg have reunited once again. The most interesting return in this installment is Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, who will also feature as the Mighty Thor.
The mystery of her role in the MCU film isn’t the only one leaving fans intrigued. Christian Bale, who will star as Gorr the God Butcher in Thor 4, was surprisingly absent from the film’s first trailer.
The new trailer will be premiered at 8:30 pm ET on ABC during Monday’s NBA Game 4.
The original Thor 4 trailer dropped on April 18, setting a record in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the shortest promotional window so far.
Since Doctor Strange 2 is now playing and Ms. Marvel will be on Disney+ on June 8, Marvel’s marketing machine can focus on Thor 4, with a flurry of TV spots, posters, promotions, etc.
What can we expect from the brand-new trailer?
It’s likely that more of Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor will be revealed in this trailer, especially since a new still has pictured her alongside Valkyrie. In addition, Russell Crowe might get more screen time as Zeus, because the first trailer only teases his presence from behind.
Marvel will also likely remind audiences of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor, so additional clips of them should be expected. However, it is Christian Bale in the role of Gorr the God Butcher that everyone is the most excited to see.
Up until now, Marvel has remained mum about Bale’s Gorr. New concept art has however intrigued fans due to his tentacles resembling a symbiote’s.
The villain’s revelation would surely be a big deal. However, it’ll be interesting to see how Marvel uses its “secret” villain in the marketing campaign for Thor: Love and Thunder, releasing July 8, 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder is a MCU movie and the fourth installation in the Thor series. It is directed by Ragnarok’s director, Taika Waititi, and will show Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reprising their roles as Thor Odinson and Dr. Jane Foster.
The movie will be based on The Mighty Thor comics in which Thor Odinson loses the ability to lift Mjolnir, and Jane Foster takes on the role of Mighty Thor. After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor teams up with The Guardians of the Galaxy for a short time, leaving Valkyrie as the ruler of New Asgard. But Thor returns to team up with Korg, Valkyrie and Jane’s Mighty Thor to take down Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) – before he takes out all the gods in existence.
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson return for Watiti’s second go, while Russell Crowe and Natalie Portaman join Taika’s project for the first time. The movie is out on July 8, 2022.
