The Jedi Order in the Star Wars universe has given the galaxy some of its best warriors we know today. Masters, Grandmasters, and apprentices who’ve been protectors against the dark side. But who is the strongest of them all? A debate that is as old as the universe itself.
As Yoda once said, “Train yourself to let go of everything you lose”! And that could include this debate as well. Why don’t you find out if your favorite Jedi masters have made the pick?
Here are my top 15 strongest Jedi of all time in the Star Wars universe:
Jacen Solo was one of those Jedis who was gifted with exceptional Force abilities. He possessed the powers of telekinesis, enhanced empathy and healing. He could moderate the toxins in his own body and also heal others.
Moreover, he was also one of those Jedis who could control the minds of animals and a few other creatures. The saddest part was that he was lost to the Dark Side, and we couldn’t see him reach his full potential.
Jacen’s mother, Leia, was also a Force user. In fact, she had contacted her son Jacen while he was in her womb with the help of Force.
Leia, a tactical and politician, was also a great Jedi whose signature weapon was the blaster. She had the skills of a true markswoman and rarely missed.
She was a good combatant who excelled in the Force powers of telekinesis, and in fact, if not for her Force, Millennium Falcon wouldn’t have lasted that long.
Qui-Gon Jinn is one of the radically wise Jedis of Order. His strong philosophies formed the core of his character and also his duel style. He attained mastery over the combat form Ataru and went beyond the Force abilities of just telekinesis and mind tricks.
He began learning how to be truly immortal by keeping your consciousness alive even after death. A feat he couldn’t manage to accomplish but nevertheless became one with the Force.
P.S. He was the one who discovered Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One!
Ahsoka Tano was one of those Jedi whose connection with the Force was strong, and the powers, raw and unpolished. However, this depicted potential, and she had tons of it.
Besides having incredible telekinesis and Force jump powers, she also had great sensitivity to force and had force visions. She was also skilled in Form V and Jar’Kai.
Ahsoka was such a fighter that she even made Anakin think that she could be of some good!
Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi was considered as one of the exceptional swordsmen of the Order. His Force abilities included telekinesis, healing, and also jumping to great heights.
He was also a capable pilot who leveraged his Force abilities to pilot aircrafts and become a proficient starfighter. A master of form III, he also had swift reflexes and could produce telekinetic blasts in duels.
Kit Fisto was regarded as one of the exceptional lightsaber duelists by Mace Windu. The Jedi mastered the combat style of Form I and was quite proficient with Form IV as well.
Fisto was one of the few Jedi who created his own Force technique to manifest and manipulate water currents. A technique that went on to be called the Force Water Orb.
In duels, he could quickly understand the weakness of his opponent and strategically attack those. It was sad to see that despite being a fighter who could think on his feet, he met his demise before Darth Sidious.
Plo Koon was not only a great Jedi Master but also an exceptional starfighter pilot. Known to excel at Form V and Ataru, his sword-fighting skills left us all in awe.
As a character, he was a pretty calculative and tactical thinker, and thus a great war strategist. These skills also made him quite adept at battles in the air, and his skills were even considered comparable to the piloting skills of Anakin Skywalker.
And yet another fighter who could’ve achieved boundless greatness if only he hadn’t turned on to the dark side.
On a side note, is it just me, or does anyone else think that several major characters have gone to the dark side and returned, And maybe it’s a tad bit repetitive? More on that later!?
Ben Solo had a family background with some of the best Jedi. His potential was immense, but he too was lost into the dark side. But just like many others, he returned and fought valiantly alongside Rey Skywalker.
Despite him returning to the light side, his powers, combat skills didn’t deteriorate, nor did his abilities. In the end, he sacrificed his life for Rey and became one with the Force.
I guess all is well that ends well?
Ezra Bridger’s connection to the force was strong, raw, and untamed. You could say he is like Rey Skywalker in some ways.
However, Ezra is less naturally gifted and more perseverent. His hard work and training make him really good at combat skills and the lightsaber.
Besides having the abilities of telekinesis and levitation, he was a telepath who could communicate with individuals over smaller distances.
Anakin Skywalker’s master and an ardent disciple of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi was an extraordinary swordsman and Force user.
His abilities, such as Force push, levitate, and crushing objects, were constantly put to the test in numerous battles, and he almost always did them justice.
He was one of the most outstanding mentors who truly understood Anakin Skywalker. Even as he met his demise at the hands of Vader, aka Anakin, he left him with a message of what it meant to become one with the Force.
Mace Windu, arguably the best swordsman in the galaxy, developed his own fighting style. If that’s not cool, I don’t know what is. Actually, I do! He is also the only Force user with a purple lightsaber.
He could deflect blasts with his lightsaber and could also use the Force to summon his lightsaber with relative ease. I’ve already talked about his Shatterpoint skill in a previous post and his several other awe-inspiring powers! Okay fine, I’ll stop raving about him now and move on to the next one.
Before you go on a rant about why he is fourth, hear me out. Anakin is perhaps one of the strongest Jedi to have ever existed. His midi-chlorian count is above 20k, and he’s the best pilot, but hold up!
If you see, before he could reach his full potential, which was boundless, he turned to the dark side. Everything that we see after is because of the dark force running through him and not the light force.
As a Jedi, he was nothing like the Order had ever seen before. His Force abilities were as diverse as they get, ranging from telekinesis to visions and unleashing pure Force energy to blasting off everything in its radius.
He was the Chosen One and lived to the name, but by the time he fulfilled that destiny, he had turned weak too!
The wisest Jedi that we’ve ever come across. His philosophies and quotes are something that anybody outside films can live by. Don’t worry, I won’t stan him much more, but maybe just a bit more.
The Grandmaster of the Jedi Order was part of the Force users for the longest time―800 years! His abilities were quite versatile. A valiant duelist, a tactical strategist, a shrewd politician, and perhaps the greatest mentor there ever was.
He has guided and mentored numerous characters such as Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Obi-Wan, and more. Everyone in this list has once been his disciple, and that speaks to his greatness.
People will never forget him for his combat skills, his force abilities, and the incredible feats he’s accomplished in battles and duels. However, to me, what sets him apart is his enhanced empathy that helped him see through Darth Vader, aka Anakin Skywalker.
He brought Anakin back to the light side and paved the way for him to fulfill his prophecy. It’s a sign of a true mentor and master. And perhaps also sheer love.
This just gets more affirmed when he mentors Rey Skywalker and trains her as well to accomplish greatness.
Rey Skywalker is the strongest Jedi in the Star Wars universe! The granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine possesses Force abilities of vision, telepathy, healing, and other elemental Force powers.
Mentored by Luke Skywalker, Rey is a self-taught mechanic and pilot. Coming from a bloodline of Skywalkers, she has the innate gift of Force and even manages to manifest it without much training.
She is the one who carried the Chosen One, Anakin’s legacy, and to me, she is much more stronger than him. Simply because, as I mentioned, she is what Anakin could’ve been if he didn’t turn to the dark side. She is the epitome of boundless potential that transcended to how she lived and continues to live on. She is by far the strongest Jedi!
