Caple Jr. posted a photo of him sitting in a first-generation Optimus Prime and captioned it, “That’s a wrap.”

The director had previously revealed the logo for the film via his Instagram story about a month ago.

The logo for the seventh film in the franchise shows the head of a Transformer as a mechanoid wildcat, like the Predacons (one of the Decepticons), who have the ability to turn into giant animals.

The color scheme consisted of orange and yellow hues, which might be a reference to the 1990s Beast Wars storyline.

Rise of the Beasts will be set seven years after the events of 2018’s Bumblebee and have heavy influences from Transformers: Beast Wars cartoon series.

Beast Wars follows two warring factions of robots that have “crashed on a strange planet populated by animals like those on Earth, that has vast deposits of raw Energon and evidence of alien activity.

The Energon forces the newly arrived Transformers to take on protective beast forms to shield themselves from the ambient Energon radiation.”

This planet is later revealed to be prehistoric Earth in season 2, “with the characters having been thrown back in time.

The third season was entirely structured around the Maximals defending their dormant Autobot ancestors aboard the ancient crashed Ark.”

It would be interesting to see which elements of Beast Wars Transformers 7 picks up. In a virtual press conference for the film, actor Anthony Ramos said his head “exploded” while describing his experience reading the script.

Paramount aims to revamp the franchise, and new additions are being made, including the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons. Two weeks ago, Caple Jr. also gave fans the first official look at the Gen-1 Autobots and Decepticons on the Transformers 7 set.

Ramos stars alongside Dominique Fishback as the main human cast, with Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman voicing Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal, respectively.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is expected to land in theaters on June 24, 2022.
