Venom Day will Release Exclusive Movie Details on Sep 27

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is almost here, finally releasing on October 1. To give us a little taste of what’s to come, the movie will be hosting Venom Day on September 27.

The announcement came via Venom’s official Twitter that featured Venom’s amorphous form inviting us to join the conversation this coming Monday.

No exact details have been released as of yet, but we expect to see TV spots, posters, and perhaps even new scenes for the movie itself. If fans are right about Spider-Man making a cameo in the movie, then Venom Day is the perfect time to reveal it.

Sony may also take this opportunity to showcase some of their other Spider-Man Universe ventures like Morbius and Madame Web.

For all that they release, they’re hoping to trend #Venom and #WeAreVenom next week, to add to Venom 2’s opening weekend hype.

The first Venom movie may have not gained critical praise, but it got what it needed: a high audience score that reflected on a massively successful box office. This ensured that Venom 2 was slated almost immediately after the first movie’s release.

Of course, Venom 2 fell prey to the pandemic’s whims and had a change of release dates that were almost too frustrating to bear.

But the motive is clear — Sony believes Venom: Let There Be Carnage is going to make a splash for which it does need the perfect premiere date.

Now that we’re only days away from October 1, no one can keep fans from watching the theatre-exclusive sequel. Early reviews too have chimed in positively.

Here’s a quick refresher for Venom 2: The sequel takes place a year after Venom, where Tom Hardy’s Brock will try to get his journalism career back on track.

He starts doing so by interviewing Woody Harrelson’s Kasady, a serial killer who eventually becomes the host for the alien symbiote Carnage.

Naomie Harris as Shriek

Besides Venom and Carnage, we will also meet Shriek (Naomie Harris) on screen, while the latest character posters have also hinted that Michelle William’s She-Venom may be making a comeback after her brief appearance in Venom.

As Venom would say, I can’t wait to eat the head off this movie. Stay tuned for all the releases on Venom Day!

About Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Andy Serkis. A sequel to 2018’s Venom, it is based on the Marvel Character of the same name. Tom Hardy will be reprising his role as journalist Eddie Brock/ Venom and newcomer Woody Harrelson will play psychotic serial killer Cletus Kasady/ Carnage, in the second installment. Further cast includes Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Naomie Harris.

Venom ended with the symbiote destroying Carlton Drake, the symbiote Riot, and the Life Foundation’s spaceship. Thus  the world was saved. In a mid-credits scene, Brock was invited to interview incarcerated serial killer Cletus Kasady, who promised “carnage” when he escaped. This was Woody Harrelson’s Carnage reference.

Now, the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage teased the appearance of another symbiote Toxin through his host, Patrick Mulligan.
