Yoon Chan-young Plays a Teenage Weed Farmer in New Noir K-Drama

From zombies to drugs, All of Us are Dead’s rising star Yoon Chan-young seems to love heavy stuff. His upcoming drama, Juvenile Delinquency, deals with a group of teenagers struggling in life and stumbling on a marijuana field.

The company released the character profile for the male protagonist, Gong Yoon-tak, played by Yoon Chan-young on March 6 and a trailer a few days ago.

The teen noir drama will focus on drugs and complex emotions such as desperation to earn money, growing up, and searching for an aim in a tangled life of teenagers.

The drama’s trailer also elicited a favorable response as the combination of teens and drugs is not frequently seen in Korean dramas.

Yoon Chan-young plays the 18-year-old Yoon-tak, the sole breadwinner of his household after his mother passes away.

He takes over the farms and cares for them as much as his family. A devoted young man to his studies, Yoon-tak is the neighborhood’s go-to candidate for a son-in-law.

The kind and hard-working Yoon-tak’s life takes a turn when he stumbles upon a mysterious Kyung Da-jung (Won Ji-an). Da-jung was used as a mediator between drug trafficking by her parents and went into hiding after things went wrong.

Da-jung reveals that the field he has been taking care of is filled with marijuana – in turn, chock full of money. As the family’s responsibility is on his head, he gets caught up in a life-changing controversy.
