Darth Vader Having an Entombed Jedi Collection Is Just Plain Terrifying

Obi-Wan Kenobi Ep 4 finally gets down to a lot of action and plotting, as the Jedi Master seeks to rescue Leia from the Third Sister and Darth Vader. He uses Tala’s help to get to Nur, a planet that Vader has now made his home.

While the “heist” is filled with Easter eggs and is reminiscent of the older films, there is one scene, in particular, that is quite shocking to watch.

When Obi-Wan Kenobi breaks into the Imperial Fortress in Ep 4, he comes across a room filled with entombed dead Jedi like Tera Sinube and Coleman Kcaj.

I don’t know about you, but Vader keeps stupefying me with how committed he is to the dark side. Having dead Jedis entombed in a fortress you live in, is just next-level.

There seem to be many Jedi entombed in the fortress, and while the camera focuses on a few of them, there are only one or two notable cameos in there. The rest of the Jedi don’t seem to be based on any existing characters.

Here are the ones that are important:

Tera Sinube

Tera Sinube

The most recognizable Jedi cameo is of Tera Sinube, who Obi-Wan sees as soon as he enters the room. You may remember him from The Clone Wars, especially for his clever gimmick of concealing his lightsaber in his walking stick.

Coleman Kcaj

A few fans think they also spotted another well-known Jedi, Coleman Kcaj who was active during the Galactic Republic. He is a pointy-headed creature who appeared in Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars.

Jedi Youngling

Jedi younglings are those kids who are Force-sensitive and have been recruited to train as Jedi from a young age. Although it is already canon that Darth Vader had ordered a Jedi youngling massacre, it is just shocking to see one actually dead and entombed as his personal trophy.

Are the Jedi really dead?

Call it wishful thinking, but there is a fan theory floating about that the entombed Jedi may not be dead. This is because the “tombs” look a lot like the Carbonite that Han Solo will later be trapped in. If that’s really the case, these Jedi can later be rescued and “resurrected”.

I don’t personally think this is true—the horrifying fact is that the dead Jedi are just sick mementos that Vader seems to be collecting to vilify his strength.

But just in case the theory turns out to be true, it will be nice for Obi-Wan to have a few Jedi who can have his back and help him fight the good fight.
