This can be attributed to their shared ideology.
What makes Jack Nelson scarier or more evil is just a glimpse of his presence. In Episode 2, he talks about his first killing, and although he doesn’t mention anything graphic, the coldness in his voice makes him sound dangerous.
Another instance was in Episode 1 when Michael says Uncle Jack has a clean, spotless image because all his evil deeds are in the past, and there are no records of his sins. This shows that the man has enough influence to wipe out everything in his name and be completely pristine in the eyes of the world.
This makes me wonder if he’s more powerful than Oswald Mosley and if he’s the main villain in the final season of Peaky Blinders.

Jack Nelson is most likely the main villain of Peaky Blinders season 6, the show’s final season. The IRA, Gina Gray, and Oswald Mosley might be side villains who would work with/under Uncle Jack.
He’s Michael and Gina’s boss, and when he meets Oswald Mosley, he’d want to have him too, as his pawn in the UK who drives fascism. So all fingers do seem to be pointing at him for being the main villain.
But what makes me curious is how he seems a little familiar to a historical figure. The closeness to President Roosevelt and the license of importing liquor point to someone we might know from history.

Jack Nelson is based on Joseph Kennedy Sr., the father of John F Kennedy. Joseph was an ambassador to the United Kingdom but was removed from his post because of `his anti-democracy and anti-British sentiments.
Like Jack Nelson, even Joseph Kennedy had started importing liquor from the UK and did not support democracy. Besides this, like Jack, even Joe Kennedy didn’t like Jews and spoke against them, now and then.
