First Look at Darth Vader—one of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Many Menacing Foes

As Ewan McGregor takes over the cover of EW for his return as Obi-Wan Kenobi this May on Disney+, we also get a glimpse at the many foes waiting for the Jedi Master’s comeback.

When the series dropped its first teaser a few days ago, it introduced Moses Ingram as Inquisitor Reva, who, according to EW’s exclusive scoop, will prove to be the new fearsome villain Kenobi needs to watch out for.

Inquisitor Reva:

Reva is a force-sensitive Inquisitor who has her goals in line with the series’ other two main villains—the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader.

Speaking of the Grand Inquisitor, the trailer also revealed the character’s live-action debut after appearing in the animated Star Wars: Rebels. The leader of the Inquisitors is tasked with hunting down the survivors of Order 66.

The Grand Inquisitor has a strong band of Inquisitors alongside him, including the Fifth Brother, who was tasked with hunting down Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, and Ahsoka Tano in Rebels.

The Grand Inquisitor:

However, the most-anticipated villain in the upcoming series will be Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader. EW also revealed the first look image that sees his sharp silhouette as the Dark Lord of the Sith emerges from his meditation chamber.

While talking about whether we’d get to see Anakin’s face in the series, Christensen told EW, “I wish I could tell you. I’m sworn to secrecy.”

The actor was much less reluctant while talking about how his character had evolved and promised, “We’re going to see a very powerful Vader.”

The triple threat for Kenobi will be challenging to say the least, as Ingram added that the three villains, Reva, the Grand Inquisitor, and Darth Vader, could join forces, “They share a common dark-side goal. They’re on the same team.”

However, as Kenobi is forced to come out of his recluse of watching over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, rest assured he’ll have some allies too.

Another image by EW revealed Joel Edgerton’s return as Uncle Owen with Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn also rumored to appear.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on May 25.
