Will Bobby Pin Ever Wrestle Again In Heels?

Heels episode 5 was filled with conflicts that perfectly set up episode 6 and the other two episodes this season. Amongst the many arcs running throughout the series, one of the most prominent arcs was the triangle of Bobby Pin, Ace Spade, and Crystal.

We all know how their love triangle led to a messy wrestling affair in the ring. It is Bobby who has been most affected by this toxicity.

Wild Bill knew the tension between the three and took an opportunity to stir things up. He instigated Crystal to do her own thing, and all her repressed anger came out against Ace in the ring in front of the audience. Ace, in turn, took it all out on Bobby by literally tearing his leg and sending him into surgery.

So will Bobby Pin ever be able to wrestle again in Heels?

Bobby Pin will not be able to wrestle again due to the seriousness of his injury. In a fit of rage, Ace Spades decided to go off-script, which led to him tearing Bobby’s leg. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where surgery was performed to fix his leg.

Bobby Pin is perhaps the nicest wrestler at the DWL, and he sure as hell didn’t deserve that treatment. I think his naivety is to be blamed as well. I mean, he knew Crystal and Ace Spade had a thing, and he shouldn’t have come in the middle. At least not until the two resolved their issues.

Of course, almost the entire blame is still on Ace Spades. Ace is that teenager who never grew up. All the repressed anger, insecurities, and fears come out every time he is in the ring, and this was yet another incident where he screwed up that match and so much more.

The potential sponsors who came to see the match won’t be too happy after that incident which means Jack won’t get the money DWL needs.

Furthermore, the league is one more wrestler down after Big Jim retired from wrestling. Clearly, the circumstances are bad enough for the Spades family, and Ace just made it multiple times worse because now the crowd won’t have as many people to see in the ring, and hence they wouldn’t come, making it even more difficult for Jack to earn a living.

Bobby Pin was going to be the face, but now his career hangs by a thread due to the severe injury. Though realistically, it wouldn’t be possible for him to wrestle again, there are still three episodes remaining.

Episode 6 promo showed him returning home with his leg encased in a huge plaster, and it looks like it’s not going to be healing any time soon. Even if it does heal, will he be fit enough to wrestle again. I think if he would ever be fit enough to wrestle again, it would either be in the finale episode or the next season (If there is one).

In the next two episodes, we will mostly see Bobby Pin resting, recovering, and sorting out his issues with Ace Spade and Crystal, which by the way, is an emotionally tasking job.

Personally, I’d say what Crystal told Jack. “It is a really fucked up thing to do, but it is great for his character development and makes up for a promising storyline.”

Although I do think this might change Bobby Pin for the better. His innocence might fade, and in its place, we might see someone else. Whether that person is better or worse, we’ll just have to wait and find- out in episode 6, releasing on 19th September 2021.
