Bonnie Exits Mike Prince Capital In Billions Season 6 Episode 5

Besides the main characters in Billions, we often see the minor characters such as Bonnie, Victor, and Tuk in the show who try to raise the stakes in the show.

They are the medium through which the writers want to explain what is happening in a scene to the audience.

Whether we see a trade or a strategy being planned, the main characters, such as Mike Prince, Taylor, and Wags, say significantly less. It is these supporting characters who explain the gravity of a situation and make us realize how high the stakes are.

Bonnie was one such character in Billions, and in episode 5, we see her leave the Mike Prince Capital after he cuts down her work, based on his evaluation. So will she return to the company again?

Bonnie might never return to Mike Prince Capital again. She cannot get on board with Mike Prince’s way of doing things and might join Mafee because that would give her a sense of familiarity.

Mike Prince

Bonnie doesn’t appreciate her work being cut based on Mike Prince’s evaluation of her performance and style of working.

In general, she is driven by gut and emotions rather than a surgical approach towards her work. On the other hand, Mike Prince is creating an environment where a surgical approach is a norm.

The clash between these two styles leads to Bonnie walking out of Mike Prince Capital, and by the looks of it, we will not see her return.

She still seems to be working in Axe’s way, and perhaps that’s why she will join Mafee, who also admired Axe and his style.

Another question we might have is if we will see more of this cast member/character in the upcoming episodes. To find out, I quickly looked it up on the IMDB page, and her work was credited only till the latest episode (Rock of Eye).

However, other actors have been credited for upcoming episodes as well. This means that even if other characters in the show mention her, we might not really see her again.

While her exit doesn’t significantly impact other characters, it still seems a little abrupt.

Although her significance in the show doesn’t match someone like Taylor or Wags, her arc could’ve ended in a much better way. Currently, it seems incomplete, and the actor’s exit leaves a loose end that most likely won’t be attended to.
