Peter Dinklage Might Have Just Let Slip his MCU Return with Thor 4

It looks like Eitri isn’t done forging god-killing weapons after all.

As much about the newest installment in the Thor films remain a mystery, actor Peter Dinklage might’ve just hinted at his return as the Dwarf King from Avengers: Infinity War.

In an interview with Empire Podcast for his upcoming project, Cyrano, Dinklage was asked about Eitri’s possible return to the MCU with Thor: Love and Thunder. To which, the actor commented,

Well, there’s another Thor movie there, isn’t there? Coming out that Taika’s directed. But I didn’t say anything. I didn’t say anything… If you die in a Marvel movie, doesn’t mean it’s your last Marvel movie. That’s the crazy thing, it doesn’t matter. Somebody could make a TV—now, there’s TV shows. It’s Marvel World, we’re just all part of it.

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, we saw the tiny population who survived the destruction of Asgard in Ragnarok had relocated to Earth with Thor handing over the reins to Valkyrie before setting out on his adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

As Jane Foster will now be the female Thor, it has been revealed that she’ll be wielding Mjolnir. However, the hammer isn’t in the most ideal condition as it was crushed by Hela, so maybe Eitri would help make another Stormbreaker-like weapon for her.

However, this isn’t the first time Dinklage’s return was hinted at. The Cosmic Circus previously speculated about the actor’s involvement when an IMDb listing for the film’s makeup department featured Lane Friedman as a hairstylist for Dinklage.

With Marvel dropping new merch, fans are expecting the trailer to come out soon as given the film’s July release date, it’s about time.

A few hours ago, Marvel, in collaboration with LEGO, revealed a building set inspired by Love and Thunder with new Hasbro figures and toys of fan-favorite characters like Thor/Mighty Thor, Jane Foster/Goddess of Thunder, and Korg.

Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder is set for a theatrical release on July 8, 2022.

About Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder is a MCU movie and the fourth installation in the Thor series. It is directed by Ragnarok’s director, Taika Waititi, and will show Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reprising their roles as Thor Odinson and Dr. Jane Foster.

The movie will be based on The Mighty Thor comics in which Thor Odinson loses the ability to lift Mjolnir, and Jane Foster takes on the role of Mighty Thor. After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor teams up with The Guardians of the Galaxy for a short time, leaving Valkyrie as the ruler of New Asgard. But Thor returns to team up with Korg, Valkyrie and Jane’s Mighty Thor to take down Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) – before he takes out all the gods in existence.

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson return for Watiti’s second go, while Russell Crowe and Natalie Portaman join Taika’s project for the first time. The movie is out on July 8, 2022.
