Obi-Wan Kenobi Might See the Return of a Fan-Favorite Jedi Master

As Lucasfilm keeps on pumping out more and more Star Wars-related content, there’s no telling where the next series on Disney+ might take the fans.

With the return of The Mandalorian and new shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka, fans await more iconic characters’ return.

Obi-Wan Kenobi being the first one among the list to make its way onto our screen this May, rumors and speculations regarding the series have increased now more than ever.

Ewan McGregor returns to the titular role, along with Hayden Christensen, reported being digitally de-aged for a flashback scene as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

And whenever Kenobi is in the talks, fans wonder if his former master Qui-Gon Jinn would make an appearance as well.

Now a new rumor from Bespin Bulletin claims that Liam Neeson will reprise his role as Jinn in the series.

According to sources, the report suggested that Qui-Gon Jinn would be “seen as a force ghost at some point during the limited series, and not just a disembodied voice us fans previously heard in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

Neeson, who also voiced the character in the animated series, The Clone Wars, and Episode II: Attack of the Clones, had previously denied his involvement in the series.

Still, this news seems more hopeful than shocking as fans will finally get to see the duo reunite once again if Kenobi uses the Force to reach Qui-Gon’s spirit.

More rumors about characters like Senator Bail Organa and Princess Leia making an appearance have also been floating around.

However, as of now, Qui-Gon Jinn returning makes the most sense and seems like a safe bet if you want to have your hopes high for any of the above-mentioned names.

In another recent report, Making Star Wars suggested that the series will also introduce a previously unseen Force-wielding “young Jedi straggler” Nari to the Star Wars universe.

Nari will supposedly come to Tatooine looking for Kenobi, which causes a problem for the Jedi Master watching over a young Luke Skywalker.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres exclusively on Disney+ on May 25, 2022.
