Will Rhaenyra and Daemon have a son together?

According to the book Fire and Blood, Rhaenyra and Daemon have three children- Aegon, Viserys, and a stillborn, Visenya. (Yes, another Viserys and another Aegon!)

If you were wondering whether House of the Dragon will carry forward similar themes of incest as seen in Game of Thrones, episode 7 has some answers for you.

‘Driftmark’ has finally sown the seeds of one of the most anticipated pairs in the HOTD series- Rhaenyra and her uncle Daemon Targaryen.

The two were reunited when their families gathered for the funeral of Daemon’s wife, Laena.

Episode 7 introduced us to the softer side of Daemon Targaryen. The death of his wife in childbirth seemed to have put him in a pensive state. Although he wasn’t entirely invested in his marriage, he was ‘happy enough’ as he put it.

When he met Rhaenyra after so many years, it was not much of a surprise what happened next.

Rhaenyra and Daemon

The tension between Rhaenyra and Daemon heightened as they talked about their broken marriages while taking a walk on a beach. It didn’t take them too long to start kissing each other and they soon ended up having sex.

Episode 7 ended with Rhaenyra and Daemon getting married, in presence of only few people, in what seemed like a very hurried ceremony. Their kids were also present at the ceremony.

At this point in the series, they have no children. But, if we follow the events of the book, Fire and Blood, we will see that the pair will have two sons and one stillborn daughter. They are named Aegon, Viserys, and Visenya Targaryen, respectively.

We are not sure if we will see them in season 1 of HOTD, but if the rumors about another time jump are accurate, we might as well.
